I know your project is about those who were once connected and became disconnected. I don’t have a lot of experience with that. I have the continual feeling of being the spare electron orbiting this fascinating and energetic nucleus that is the world around us. Most likely it’s the culmination of experiences like being the middle child overlooked by the needs of teenagers and toddlers or being the kid more interested in reading about origami than playing basketball. I have spent more time on this earth quietly by myself in the midst of the ruckus of everyone else. I want to throw caution to the wind and join in but it just seems to be moving so fast I can’t catch up. I’m left standing on the side, hands rotating in time with the jump rope and no idea how to get into the action without tripping it all up.
